Q&A:

Q:How did you hear about TTUSA?

A:When I was a junior in high school they were building a new location on 50, Spring Hill 1. When I drove by, I saw the huge cone building and thought it would be a fun place to work as my first job.

Q:When did you start working at TTUSA?

A:I started working at TTUSA in December of 2013.

Q:What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream?

A:Oh…that’s a tough one. I’d probably say either peanut butter or Oreo.

Q:Describe your Twistee Treat Career Path leading up to your current goal.

A:I started as a Smile Maker in December of 2013 at the Spring Hill 1 location. Then I was promoted to Shift Leader in early 2015 and I was viewed as an AGM before the company had an actual AGM position. In 2017 I was promoted to General Manager at the Spring Hill 2 location, with aspirations to become an Area Director in the next 3 years.

Q:How did you achieve this promotion?

A:I worked really hard to achieve my promotion but I definitely couldn’t have done it without the help of my amazing team and my management that always believed in me.

Q:Did you know from the beginning that you wanted to do more for Twistee Treat?

A:I was only 16 when I started working here, but the longer I worked and the more I grew with Twistee Treat, I knew I wanted to do more.

Q:What is the most challenging part of your job?

A:I think the most challenging part of my job is when problems occur that are out of my control, such as power outages, or machines breaking down. It’s unfortunate, but we just have to make sure everything and everyone is taken care of promptly!

Q:What is your favorite part about your current role?

A:Being able to lead and teach my team and knowing I’m making a difference in their lives.

Q:In relation, what do you like about working for Twistee Treat?

A:We really do have a great management team that appreciates hard work and encourages a fun work environment. Not a lot of companies provide that sort of culture and encouragement.

Q:Proudest moment at the company?

A:Working my way up to General Manager at my very own store!

Q:Do you have a work nickname?

A:My crew likes to call me “mom.” LOL.

Q:How do you define success?

A:Success to me is knowing I worked my hardest to achieve my goals and seeing how far I’ve come.

Q:What advice would you give to someone who seeks more opportunity at Twistee Treat?

A:Work hard, be yourself, keep a positive attitude and always try to be the smile in someone’s day.

Q:Tell us about a time you remember where you really made a customer smile.

A:I had just started learning sign language at the time and I had a deaf couple come to order ice cream and I was able to sign to them to get their order. They were pleasantly surprised and happy that I knew some sign and it made me feel really good!

Q:If you were stuck on a deserted island what three things would you bring?

A:Sunscreen, water and a lifetime supply of Chick-fil-a!
