There’s no doubt that 2018 was a successful year for our company as well as the previous two years. In 2016, a record of 8 new store openings occurred, but with the help of our President (Max Fromberg), Special Projects Manager (Kelly Froelich), Social Media Marketing Manager (Ryan Glaze), our Area Directors, Store Managers, several hard workers at our corporate office and of course each and every one of our valued patrons, we matched the previous record and added 8 new Twistee Treat stores in 2018! Seven new stores were added in 2017. A total of 23 new locations have been added in only the past three years, more than doubling the company in size.
We started the year with 29 locations, with the added 8 we now have 37 stores. 32 locations are in Florida in cities including Tampa, Ocala, Spring Hill, Homosassa, Orlando, New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach, Cape Canaveral, Melbourne, and Sebring. We also now have 5 locations in Houston, Texas. There are existing plans to add 2-3 more Twistee Treat locations in 2019. There is one new store planned for Wesley Chapel, Florida, another for Downtown Orlando, Florida, and a possible third location, area TBD.
Recently, we wrapped up the year celebrating three new store openings. Twistee Treat Kenneth City (4310 66th Street North Kenneth City, FL), Twistee Treat Clermont (4269 S. Highway 27 Clermont, FL) and Twistee Treat Homosassa (3834 S. Suncoast Blvd Homosassa, FL). *Twistee Treat Homosassa pending Grand Opening Party, scheduled for January 2019.
As always, we are so pleased to be able to host grand opening parties for our new stores to celebrate with our local communities. What a great day it was at both Twistee Treat Kenneth City and Twistee Treat Clermont for their grand opening parties. Thank you to everyone who attended! We had games, balloon art, face painting, the Twistee Tent with prizes and lots of ice cream! It is certainly something we will not forget!
